Combat Shuai-Chiao: Volume 1

Volume 1 of the Combat Shuai-Chiao video series is packed full of exciting content. The tape begins with a brief introduction to the centuries long history of Shuai-Chiao in China and its arrival in the US. It continues with full-speed and slow-motion demonstrations illustrating the concepts of our system, which includes kicks, strikes, throws, and follow-up attacks. All of the combat techniques in this tape are practical in real-life scenarios. The tape also leads both beginning viewers and experienced martial artists through the basic training phase of Combat Shuai-Chiao, which consists of ancient traditional stances - 13 Tai-Pao. The 13 Tai-Pao stances form the foundation of Shuai-Chiao practice, and the tape goes into detail on how to use these ancient stances to strengthen and improve your Shuai-Chiao techniques, as well as how to apply them in combat.

Combat Shuai-Chiao: Volume 2

Master Lin returns once again in Volume 2 of the Combat Shuai-Chiao video series to share new insights into the world of Combat Shuai-Chiao. The tape begins by showing General Ma Liang's 24 forms as they appear in his original text, and then shows rare footage of different Shuai-Chiao cognates as practiced in modern China. Master Lin then shows you the 24 shadow practice forms of Combat Shuai-Chiao as taught to him by the late Grandmaster Ch'ang Tung-sheng. Each one of these shadow practice forms is accompanied by possible combat applications, shown on an opponent in full speed, and then again in slow motion with careful commentary to further your learning ability. With a constant eye on combat functionality, Master Lin shares a variety of rarely seen sweeps, strikes, throws, and locks with you. As a special feature, Master James Lin demonstrates General Ma Liang's 24 forms for comparative and historical purposes.

Combat Shuai-Chiao: Volume 3

This is an important aspect of Combat Shuai Chiao training and theory. During ancient times, Shuai Chiao tournaments lacked safety rules, So when opponents met in competition, More sadistic fighters would try to harm their opponents. While modern tournament rules protect fighters from most of these injuries, It is still in the Shuai Chiao students best interests to understand these situations and know how to use these techniques in self defense.
Locks can be used offensively or defensively. This skill not only allow the practitioner to avoid and escape dangerous holds in tournaments, but also allows one to use locks to control an attacker in a street confrontation. As a martial artist knowledge of locking techniques is a must.
